Answer
Hello Ramesh
Chronic mucous can be a problem for many people, but it is not always a matter of just eliminating the mucous and the problems dissolve.  Mucous is protective, so if there is excess mucous the reason why needs to be found out first.  There may be a greater irritation occuring, which would have to be addressed in order to find a lasting solution.  If it's a matter of a food reaction, one must eliminate the food first.  If it's another type of allergy, then we stimulate natural healing in the body, using hydrotherapy treatments or homeopathics chosen for the individual.
Only then if neither of those tactics work would I suggest doing herbs or supplements to directly decrease the mucous.  Again, these are chosen for each person and their symptoms.
Since it is very individual to treat well, it's difficult to recommend anything without full information.  But if you can seek out a homeopathic or ayurvedic doctor, I think you could find some answers.
Thanks for your question.
