Question
I was recomended by a someone to start taking
Red Yeast Rice/Gugulipid to lower cholesterol.
Is this effective for lowering cholesterol?
Is this safe to take ?
What quanity is it safe to take?
Tablets are 450mg per 300(red yeast) 150(guglipid)
Is it the combination of the two items or is
it one item that helps?

Thanks Rick

Answer
Hi Rick, Red Yeast Rice and Gugulipid are two separate ingredients. Both have shown to be beneficial in lowering total cholesterol. The combination may be additive.
I do not know what the recommended dose is.
Thank you for using Allexperts
