Alternative Medicine/Old Chinese/Korean medicinal book

Question
In 1980, a friend of mine purchased an apothocary cabinet from an antique store in Seoul, Korea.  He brought it back to the U.S. and in the early 1990's he took all of the drawers out to clean and preserve the wood.  Behind the drawers, he found a book, hidden.  I have done some research on it and what I have been able to determine, through communication with individuals online, is that the book was published in Korea in 1885 and appears to be titled:  Hwang To-yŏn?fs Compendium of Prescriptions (Pangyak happ?fyŏn •ûåZ?‡•Ò, 1885,)

Are you able to tell me anything else about the book?  Do you know if the book has been translated into English?  Do you know how much this book is worth?

Thank you, for any information you are able to give me.

Answer
Dear Heather,

I am not familiar with the Korean book.  Perhaps, the best place to find out what the book is and what its worth is to go to an Acupuncture university.  They will have staffs who read Korean.  They will be able to give you the answer you need.

Good Luck,
