Question
I have been diagnosed with PCOS. Simply stated this is a disease that is rooted in hormone imbalance. I also suffer from repeated  urinary tract infections. I am curious as to the relation if any to these repeated illnesses and an acidic body.If there is a relation then please advise me on diet, supplement and lifestyle changes. I am particularly interested in weight loss as this is one of the most maddening symptoms of PCOS. THank you.

Answer
Dear Dee,

Thank you for writing. Your email had been delayed somehow and took a while getting to me.

Yes, you are right, PCOS is rooted in a hormonal imbalance, but i would not recommend the use of natural progesterone creams in this case. Progesterone cream does not agree with all physiologies.

Problems like PCOS can often be solved quite easily by detoxifying the body, taking in a good nutritional supplement and cutting out toxic foods. Daily meditation practice is also helpful.

To begin with it is of the utmost importance to get good nutrition. This product is the only one i would recommend:

Take 2 ounces daily on an empty stomach.

You should also do "oil pulling" every morning. Please research it on Google. I recommend using sunflower oil over sesame.

Although the above superfood will help detoxification, oil pulling will take detox to a deeper level. The superfood will rebalance your hormonal system, normalize the PH balance and help get rid of bacteria.

You should also take a probiotic supplement on a daily basis; either primal defence ultra, or i-flora.

If you happen to get another UTI, take soda water/club soda combined with organic milk, half and half, and drink it twice daily. This will clear the UTI quickly. The supplements will then act as preventative measures.

If you are drinking tap water, please stop immediately. Start purifying your drinking water with ozone. Look at the xt-301:

General Dietary Recommendations:

Cut out all soy products, except fermented soy. Miso, tempeh and natural soy sauce are healthy. [fermented]

Soy contains goitrogens which depress thyroid functions. It also contains phytic acid, which hinders the body's ability to absorb proteins, calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc. In general, it is an enzyme inhibitor.

Do not drink pasteurized milk as it is quite harmful. Take only certified organic or raw milk.

Refrain from using microwaves. They lower haemoglobin levels, deteriorate immune functions and produce high numbers of radiolytic compounds in foods. (do some research on google for more info)

Make sure you avoid all artificial sweeteners:
splenda, sucralose, aspartame, nutra-sweet, equal, acesulfame potassium.

Splenda/sucralose has become popular these days and is just as toxic as aspartame. These sweeteners are found in store bought vitamins, protein powders, anything sugar-free, gum, chocolate, soda... etc.  Therefore please read labels carefully.

Cut out all margarine and hydrogenated fats. Cut out canola, rapeseed and soybean oils.
These are unhealthy. Replace with butter, ghee, unrefined coconut oil, sesame oil, and virgin olive oil.

7 glasses of water per day is a good idea to help flush out toxins from the body. Warm or room temperature water, never cold. Never drink tap water. It must be filtered. Avoid drinking distilled water. It leads to mineral depletion and hair loss.
