I have a long weekend planned with my fiance that I haven't seen in 3 months and won't see again for another 4 to 5 months.  I have my menstrual cycle starting Tuesday and won't be off of it until next Tuesday. Someone told me that Shepherd's purse will stop or interrupt my cycle?  Is this true and is it safe?  Thanks for your help!

Dear Joy,
I do not have any information to confirm what you have been told.  If it does in fact interrupt the menstrual cycle, I would be very cautious of the possible results.  I would not recommend tampering with something that is apparently so regular now.  Herbs truly are designed by G~d to help the body regain balance and optimum function, not interfere with it.
Just enjoy each others company would be my advice.
