Alternative Medicine/Sodium toxicity
Expert: Imran R. - 6/9/2007
QuestionHello Imran,
I had a hair analysis done that revealed I was nearly toxic on sodium and that it could account for my fatigue.
Yet I don't use much salt. I cook with a little, but don't add to my food. If I eat in a restaurant, I drink glass after glass of water because I get so thirsty, but my friends barely touch their water.
When I perspire or take a shower, I taste salt in my mouth. Everyone I've talked with never experiences this problem. Do you know why I might be having this problem, or if it's a symptom of a medical problem?
AnswerDear Dorothy,
Thank you for writing. I have pondered on this one.
The only thing i can think of is your drinking water supply, if you are drinking tap water. This could be one source that has built up over years. Toothpastes often contain sodium or sodium fluoride, as do hair products.
Please investigate all these areas. Use herbal toothpastes instead, stop drinking tap water if you do---purify your drinking water with ozone:

If you are taking prescriptions currently, please look up their side effects.
Also, you should research "oil pulling" on google, and begin doing it every morning before breakfast. 10 minutes of swishing, spit it out, then another 10 minutes. Use sunflower oil. With this i suggest the use of a good natural supplement:

Detoxification is a very good idea at this time, the ozone, oil pulling and supplement will all work
towards this effect. I hope this is helpful.
Best wishes,
Imran
