Alternative Medicine/Urea Cycle Disorder
Expert: Imran R. - 8/10/2007
QuestionQUESTION: My 1 year old baby has abnormally high levels of Citrulline in her blood and is being treated with high levels of argenine (pure in a sugar suspension) to prevent any possible hyperammonia situations. They haven't diagnosed her with citrullinemia yet. It is a "genetic" disorder but I believe it comes from the Polio vaccine SV-40 contamination based on much research I've been studying. It seems that there may be a way to enhance her bodies way of dealing with the elimination of amonia other than massive blood tests every few months and massive amounts of sugar-argenine. If you have any ideas with this, please I would greatly appreciate knowing them. If not, thank you for your time.
ANSWER: Dear Amanda,
Thank you for your question. You must forgive the delay in response, for some reason your question arrived quite late... it seems you had sent it a week ago.
Citrulline is most likely being produced due to the ammonia, which appears due to oxidation and this can very well be vaccine induced.
In such cases a good antioxidants should be take while intake of amino acids like the argenine be slowed.
Detoxificaton should also be undertaken. Please look into this:

An excellent natural antioxidant:

Start with half an ounce (1 tablespoon) daily for the first 10 days. Increase then to 1 ounce a day.
This protocol should be all that is needed.
General recommendations:
Cut out all soy products, soy causes thyroid degradation. Cut out pasteurized milk, take only certified organic or raw milk.
Cut out all artificial sweeteners: splenda, sucralose, aspartame, nutra sweet, equal, spoonful, saccharin, acesulfame potassium, sorbitol, cyclamate, alitame. These sweeteners are toxic.
Make sure you read labels on all products before you purchase. Make sure you avoid everything that says "sugar free" on it.
Cut out the use of microwaves, they lower haemoglobin levels, deteriorate immune functions and produce high numbers of radiolytic compounds in foods. Replace your microwave with a nuwave oven when you can.
Avoid all hydrogenated oils, avoid margarine, canola, rapeseed, and soybean oil.
Replace with butter, ghee, unrefined coconut oil, sesame oil, and virgin olive oil.
7-10 glasses of water per day is a good idea to help flush out toxins from the body. Warm or room temperature water, never cold. Never drink tap water or distilled water. Remember, drink purified water only.
If you are using toothpaste that contain fluoride, please replace with a herbal toothpaste that is fluoride free.
If you have dental (mercury) amalgams---get them removed by a dentist who knows how to remove them.
Never agree to silver amalgams either, as they are 50% mercury. The dentist must provide a bio-agreeable material
as a filling.

QUESTION: Thank you for your response; I greatly appreciate your time and information. I did want to clarify to make sure I fully understood your response. I did some research on the vitamin K shot she received at birth and found a warning that this shot may impair liver function. Citrullinemia is a liver disorder that we are being told is genetic; however if you are saying that it may be due to oxidation of the cells, we can perhaps help her to regenerate cells faster by the antioxidants linked to increasing the regeneration of mitochondria DNA. What I wanted to find out is if you have ever seen any cases like this before with the urea cycle disorders and if you know of any specialists that can be contacted for in person meetings. Also, why is distilled water not recommended? We have cut out soy and all the other suggestions you mentioned by our own research but haven't begun a detox program yet.
It seems to me that these gentic doctors are doing research on my baby and I hope and pray every day that we can help her naturally. All information you can help us with is deeply, deeply appreciated.
Thank you again for your information and time in researching this with us.
AnswerDear Amanda,
Thanks for your response. Vitamin K shots are different from Vitamin K supplements that are taken orally.
I believe the shot is given in order to enhance the body's clotting factor, in order to prevent intercranial hemorrhaging. Too much vitamin k can lead to the production of cancer... leukemia.
The usual dose (in Canada at least) is 0.1 mg.
In general, the shot is given if there is an inability of the liver to synthesize vitamin k on its own. It seems (the shot) to be a standard practice now.
I know of no specialists who you could consult with, unless there is a good pediatrician in your area you could look up, someone who comes recommended by other women you may know.
I am not convinced on the 'genetic' part of this. It does not sound right that it would be genetic in nature.
-Distilled water is basically empty of everything. Therefore when one drink distilled water it steals minerals from the body in order to compensate for its abnormal 'empty' state. This is why men who drink distilled water always come to experience hair loss.
Distilled water does not exist in nature, it is not naturally in existence and therefore one should in general, not consume it. Energized and structured forms of water do exist in nature, and are therefore safe to consume. Minerals, magnetic fields from the earth together with infra red and uv from the sun can significantly alter water molecules and raise their vibrational values.
