Question
What may cure blepharitis?

Answer
Hi John,
Blepharitis can be caused by bacteria. This type of blepharitis can be treated by antibiotics such as Polyaporin ophthalmic ointment or other prescribed ophthalmic antibiotics.
Another cause of blepharitis is seborrheic dermatitis. this type of blepharitids is treated by cleansing the eye lids with diluted baby shampoo- 2 drops in a quart of luke-warm water. The seborrhea may also need to be treated.
Some blepharitis is caused by scalp dandruffthat land on the eyelid. You need to treat the dandruff in this case.
Thank you for using Allexperts
