i am a nigerian in africa.i am worried i look smallish and skinny despite bieng a 25years old.can you help me/ if yes i will be glad to hear from you.

Answer
Dear Femi...

Greetings, thank you for your question.

Femi i believe that in your case, diet may be the main cause. If you are deficient on protein, this will definitely affect your physical body.

It is important to eat enough, but to make sure you have a
diet that is balanced. It is not bad to be thin, but important to be healthy.

If you can balance your diet with let us say 60% vegetables, beans, breads, and 40% meats, that should be good in your case.

If you can eat more coconut it will be helpful as well.

Drink enough purified water a day - 5-8 glasses a day,
and get sunshine into your body.  Sunlight is very healthy and very important to the immune system. Morning sun and evening sun is excellent.  The more of your body that can be exposed to sun, the better.  In this country here ,Canada, people are often afraid
of the sun, because of sun burn and cancer.  They use sun screen that is toxic and which actually enhances the growth of cancer cells. The fact is that solar energy can heal and prevent cancer, and a lot of other illnesses.

Working the muscles is another way the body can grow more.
If you play foot ball or something, you get exercise, and that is good. However you may look into using some weights as well, so to help muscle growth, as long as your diet is sufficient.
