Question
Hi Eric
I have noticed that some supplements come in capsule and tincture form.
Which is most effective?
I seem to have a very fast digestive system-my breakfast leaves my body in the late afternoon,so maybe the pills and capsules arent getting digested?
I tale coleus forskolin for my borderline hypothyroid and it is more effective as a tincture than in a combination herbal capsule.
If this is the case,can you recommend any other tinctures that would help me? My main complaints are a slow metabolism and poor digestion.Thanks!
Hi Barry,
Theoretically supplement in tincture are already dissolved and may be more readily absorbed. Capsules ans tablets are designed to dissolve in the gastrointestinal tract and release the medication/supplement. Tablets and capsules may be easier to swallow due to taste. tinctures can be awful tasting. As for effectiveness, there is no difference between the two formulations.
