Alternative Medicine/common warts

Question
I have treated my common warts with OTC products, & now I see a cluster of black dots after the rough skin has sloughed off. Does this indicate that the wart is not gone yet? How do I know when to stop using the treatment?

Answer
Liz,
The black dots you see are the blood vessels that were feeding the wart.  It doesn't tell you whether the wart is gone yet.  The common recommendation is to use the treatment for 1 month.  If it hasn't worked in that time period, you should seek out a dermatologist.
Thanks for your question and good luck
