Question
Hi
Have you heard of this to help weight loss?
Since september I have reduced my calories to 1500 a day and cut out most carbs.I also pedal my stationary bike and lift weights for 45 minutes every morning.
I need something to help.
I could spend a fortune but the lady in the health store said to try this.
Only problem is it costs $40 for 60 pills! Its called fucothin but has brown seaweed (fucoxanthin).
She also said to try ECGC. That was cheaper so I bought a bottle. She said give it a month then get another bottle.
I feel a little slimmer and also warmer-I am always pretty cold.

Answer
Hi Sue,
Congratulations on the lifestyle modifications. Without a doubt the exercise and reduced carbs will lead to weight loss. Expect about 1-2 pounds per week. This is a good pace and makes it easier to keep the weight off. I am speaking from experience. I work out on an elliptical trainer and limit my sugars (not carbs) an lost 22 pounds in 4 months. It is now a year later and I reduced my exercise to 30 min per day and that helps me keep the weight off. I tried several "diet pills". If you read the fine print they all come with a diet program. It is the diet that helps shed the weight not the pills.
I do not know this product but I lump them all in the same category of a crutch only. The cost of the pills gives an incentive to make it worthwhile to follow the plan to make it work. Keep on the exercise and keep your money.
Thank you for using Allexperts
Sincerely,
