Hi! I am a 37 year old woman diagnosed with Severe Depression, Adult ADD, and Arthritis in my neck and back. Since January I have lost 40 pounds to relieve some of the pain, but it's gotten worse! I am currently on Bextra, Zoloft, Neurontin, Concerta, and Flexeril. Every time I go to the doctor (I see a Rhumatologist and a Psychiatrist) I ask them to lower my doses, they tell me that I need them, the way that a diabetic needs insulin. I hate feeling 'on drugs' all the time, but when I try to ween myself off of them, I turn into an emotional wreck! I am a happy person with a great husband and a great job, I have no reason to feel this way! What can I do?  Thank you so much for your time

Dear Betty...

I will now respond to you as promised.  Depression is caused by many things, even radiation form Computer screens can cause depression...  lack of sunlight, artificial indoor building air and lighting, disturbed sleeping patterns, emotional difficulty in our lives...  etc etc.  All these contribute.
