Question
My daughter wears neem as a perfume, is this ok for her skin? Can this hurt her in anyway? She buys the oil straight from a local boutique.
Dear Elyse,
Thanks to you & your daughter for your interest in Neem.
I am little bit surprised to know that NEEM can be associated with the word " Perfume " as 100 % Natural Neem Oil has a strong repulsive garlic like odour.
Kindly checkout the following:
1. Name of the Manufacturer on the Bottle/ Jar of the Neem Oil she buys
2. Be sure it is not solvent grade quality. Get a certificate that the Neem Oil is Cold Pressed variety.
Neem Oil is anti allergic and very useful for various skin diseases. Hence there should be no problem to your daughter, unless ofcourse what she is using something else than Pure Neem Oil, but claimed as one.
