Question
i live here in Kuwait and we eat a lot of mutton paya soup (the bonelegs of mutton cooked) ;I want to know if this is healthy or is it highly fat content.
appreciate if you respond fast.

Answer
Dear Aju,

Thank you for your questions. Forgive the delay please, i have been extremely busy with a lot of people seeking my advice.

I actually grew up in Kenya, and i have eaten paya before!

The fat content is generally healthy, and the paya contains some iron, calcium, potassium and other trace minerals. It also often helps stamina, muscle and joint health.

The protein content is also good, so i would say it is a good meal overall.  If people are concerned with cholesterol build up, remember that you people live in a country, like i did, where all our food is generally natural and organic. 'Normal Food'.  So the oils are far healthier.

Here in N. America, food is tainted with toxic chemicals; vegetables and fruits are sprayed, cows and chickens are given growth hormones and antibiotics and are not looked after very well. They are made to grow abnormally fast
so that they can be slaughtered.  Chicken eggs also are of a lower quality and not very healthy.

Organic or normal food is available but we pay double or triple for the same thing.

So taking this into account, you do not have much to worry about.  Your food is far healthier and is of a higher quality. So if there is paya, just eat, do not worry about it!

Best wishes to you and your family.
