Alternative Medicine/prostate cancer follow-up

Question
Hi Dr. Aukerman. A few days ago, you answered a question for me regarding my brother's prostate cancer. Thank you!

As a follow-up, he's wondering what you mean by "We have our cancer patients take fish oil liquid at a high dose to correct their inflammatory levels as seen on their monocyte counts and c reactive protein tests."

Do you mean that he should ask for a blood test to gauge his  monocyte count and c reactive protein level?  Or, since he has the diagnosis of prostate cancer and is having surgery to remove his prostate in the middle of January, would you recommend that he take 20 fish oil capsules a day, five at each meal and five before bed?

Answer
Sorry, we do not recommend any treatments on this website.
His doctor can consult our center or their local university center for integrative medicine if they want a consultation but we are not permitted to treat patients we have not seen and examined.
I was simply explaining what we do based on our patient's monocyte counts and their c reactive protein levels.
