Question
what is in saliva thats starts to breakdown medication?  I've been searching but the only thing I found says that there is an enzyme in saliva that starts to breakdown your food.  I need to know this for school, and I need to explain it better than just saying its and enzyme.

Answer
Dear Beth,

Thank you for your question. It is indeed true that enzymes are involved in the break-down process. As we deal only with natural supplements, i would advise contacting a pharmacist, just call one up and see what answers you get on this. Then call two more and compare the info.

Otherwise i would suggest a library, get a book on human biology and specifically on how saliva works, (ask a librarian to help you find this)  this should give you all the details you need in order to write up a detailed report.

Best wishes,

Imran
