Alternative Medicine/teeth

Question
Do you have any recommendations on how to treat sensitive teeth? I chipped a tooth slightly years ago and it remains sensitive to this day.

Answer
Mr Smith
The first thing you would want to so is make sure you don't have decay on that tooth, as sensitivity can be an early sign of tooth decay.  Next, eliminate any possible irritants like alcohol based mouthwashes or toothpaste with sodium lauryl sulfate, which can be irritating to tissues.  Many natural toothpastes and rinses can be found without these ingredients, and with herbs that may help like goldenseal or aloe.  Finally, homeopathic Hypericum can be used for pains in nerve-rich areas like the mouth.  Homeopathic remedies are taken 1-3 times a day, as needed.
Thanks for your question.
