Alternative Medicine/ulcerative colitis suggestions

Question
Hi Tonja,

I am a 36 year old female, 5'7", 195 lbs, who was diagnosed about three years ago with ulcerative colitis, just after the birth of my first baby.

I have a great doctor at UCLA who I see regularly, and am taking 6MP and Asacol to keep my disease in check.

Of course, those meds have side effects, and eventually I am hopeful that my colitis will be controlled enough that I can ween off of them.

Side effects - bloating, increased hunger (I was 160 pre-pregnancy, 170 post, 215 on prednisone, and now stay relatively constant at 195 on these drugs.)  Lack of energy, mild irritability, and a general lack of well-being that shows on my skin.

Do you have any recommendations for diet that might improve, or at least not exacerbate ulcerative colitis?

I really appreciate your input.

Thanks much,
Beth

Answer
Hi Beth,
I have seen amazing results when my clients do the following:
Remove the irritants in the foods they are taking in. I would follow the blood type diet.
Use digestive enzymes to enhance food breakdown. I would use Proactazyme
Rebuild intetial flora. I would use probiotic 11
If there is stress involved I would use STRESS-J in a liquid form before meals.
Calm the colon with CLT-X
You can go to my web sit to order these. If you choose to work with this program I can tell you how to take them.
My web site is www.herbalhealthsolutions.4the.net
If you need stock numbers just let me know.  You can also save 50% when you order these off the health food stores cost.
Hope this helps.
