Question
I have a shihtzu about 4 mos that my husky attacked that now has a broken leg and knee worse case scenerario the vet says. It probally wont heal even with lots of $ and need to be amputated. It is a front leg. Is there anything I can give him that may help in the healing of the bone? We are devastated!

Answer
Michelle - I am so sorry about this !  You know, I run a doggie hotel and we have had a number of guest with only 3 legs.  I recently had a Sheltie here with the front leg being gone, due to cancer.  BOY, that girl got around great and she was 10 years old.

Please get a second opinion but I think that you will need the amputation.  I am sure if the vet could save the leg they would ......

BEST of luck to you all!

A good supplement would be NuVET Plus - it will help the other legs and joints stay healthy and strong..
