hi marie,

my new penpal...

what i was saying is that i used to give her alot of water added to her food, and thus she rarely drank at other times. then, she started drinking in addition to her food, when she went into liver failure. now, i am feeding her the foods i told you by hand and she has NO water added in her food, and yet she is not drinking any water on her own. does that mean anything?

the milk thistle is jarrow formulas standardized silymarin extract 30:1 150 mg [i have been giving her at least 4 tablets daily.

any foods you would recommend that are restorative to the liver. [i know marie!!! it is like a roller coaster...one minute i think she will be gone in minutes, will not make it thru the day and night, and the next i think i can save her

Are you sure she is not drinking?  Many times in the begining they will drink often?  I am not sure.

Looks like she could have 2-3 per day - as tolerated.
See how she does on 3 and if she is digesting well.

Also, all the Hill's Dog foods do come in canned.

I am not fond of Hill's but Sometimes it is the only choice - and it does seem to extend the quality of life.
