Alternative Medicine for Pets/English Bullie / blood in urine

QuestionQUESTION: Our baby girl has been to two vets and the emergency room to have x-rays, sonograms and urinalysis, but no conclusion has been determined of the occasional bouts of blood in urine. There were not stones found and she has also been tested for diabetes and it has come back negative. We have put her on several rounds of antibiotics, it will go away for awhile, but always seems to return. I try to keep her clean and even tried cranberry pills for awhile, but was unsure if they were really working. I do have pain meds I get filled from the vet when she is having a spell because I do not want her to be in pain. I am feeding her Iams Weight Control. Could the food be causing the episodes? Please advise if there is anything natural I can give her to help with this problem or if I need to change her diet. Thank you!
ANSWER: Hi Tammy - Yes, I will try to help your bullie girl.
How old is she?
What age did this problem start up?
Also, yes, the Iams is a very poor food.
Get back to me and let's see what we can do.

QUESTION: Junebug was a rescue and she was found in Feb of 2006 starved with no hair due to the mange. She has had a really rough life, but is beautiful now. She is about 3 years old. I started taking her to the vet in the fall of 2007 for the blood and as I said the antibiotics would clear it up, but it seems to come back. Her last spell was back in the summer of this year and now it is happening again. I would take her back to the vets, but I have spent so much so far on not getting an answer. So, maybe if I can put her on a natural supplement to keep her urinary tract clean / healthy, and change her food, it might help?? She is built crooked down there, so when she does urinate, it seems to channel instead of flowing straight out, so I do keep her wiped down nightly with baby wipes. When I clean her wrinkles I also clean her bottom. She is our baby!!
ANSWER: Junebug looks so good now! Starved and Mange! HOW can they do that to her.....?
She is so very lucky to have you.
Yes, I have a number of ideas for your little JUNEBUG...
1. change her to a grain free food:
LOOK for the following and pick one: ( at the local pet store)
A. Innova EVO- evo is grain free
B. Wellness CORE- core is grain free
C. Merrick - ( the grain free new one....)
I like Innova EVO the best.
Give her a 50/50 mix of the Iams and the grain free for 30 days - after that time, go to 100% grain free. YOU will feed less amount of the grain free because they are condensed....POOPS will be smaller too.
2. Let's get her onto some Flora Force : get this from Nature's Sunshine : the ship out very fast right to your door.
Flora Force needs to be taken for 2 months - 2 per day for 10 days and then 1 per day up to 60 days. ALL natural and Safe Probiotic.
May help to get rid of excess yeast in ther urinary and digestive systems.

3.
CHLOROPHYLL, LIQUID (32 FL OZ) - mix this into food or just do 2 teaspoons in her water bowl, per day....
IMMUNE system booster.... Cleans the system ( and low cost)
Benefits:
•Helps promote the natural blood-cleansing functions of the body.
•Promotes strong immune response.
•Strengthens cells.
•Deodorizes the body,

3. Last :
NUVET PLUS - I can't wait to see what NuVET wafers will do for her...
They guarantee the product for 60 days:
I would like to see her on 2 per day - long term...
MOST doggies her size would only need 1 per day - LETS load her up on 2 per day/ All Natural and very SAFE..

QUESTION: This is great news!! Now I do need to ask, I also have 2 chi's and 2 cat's, yes we are animal lovers. The chi's do also eat the Iams, can I put them on the grain free food as well?? And, I am sorry to say, but the cats are on Iams as well, so can I look for the same brands in cat food that would be better for their digestive system?? You have been a wonderful help and I will let you know how the products are doing with Juney.
AnswerHi - I have a Chi too! Yes, if your Chi kids are over 9 months then put them on grain free dog food, too. Much better for them then the Iams.....
YOU can also get the Chi kids on the NuVET product but get the powder for them .... They would only need 1/2 a dosage per day per chi. The cost would only be .30 cents per dog per day for the NuVET Powder/ mix into the food ....Also, I would get them some of the WET Innova EVO canned food - mix a teaspoon on top of the dry Innova EVO per day.
As for the cats: WET food helps them more than dry. I would like you to feed them some dry but WET canned food every day, along with the dry. WET food helps the cat's kidney....
So, Innova Cat food or Wellness Core Cat food wet and dry.
Also, please add 1/2 teaspoon of Pure salmon oil, per day to each cat's food. JUST a little bit will help.
The dogs can have the Salmon oil too...BUT, I am more concerned about the cats getting it each day.
Let me know how JUNE does on the foods and NuVET Plus Wafers.
BEST wishes to your little Zoo
