Question
This morning I was woke up by my hamster chewing on his bag of food. I got out and when and checked on him, he was sitting behind his cage chewing on the bag. We have in our bedroom, and with the chilly nights I Have been keeping a blanket in front of the bedroom door to keep the draft that we have out in the front of the house from going in to the bedroom. I don't know how long he has been out, but we have mouse poison out for mice its the tom cat cubes. I don't know if he he had enough time or not to go out there and get into and would he come back to his cage or not. I put him in his ball and he ran around the house non stop for over an hour, I put him in his cage and he drank a bunch of water i checked on him about an hour later and he was asleep but he was wake enough to look at me like he usually does. So should I be concern I am not sure what to do. I am at work and I am worry about the poor little guy.

Answer
Hi Brandi
If your hamster is acting strangely, or is noticeably weak, sleepy or unwell then you must get him to a vet as soon as possible.  Only the vet will be able to treat any poisoning that may have occurred.
I hope he is doing ok though and you can be at peace.
Thank,
Silva.
