QUESTION: please help! my male British bulldog has had an extreme skin problem for the past 2 months it started with an ear infection and now has spread all over his body they are scabs and also infected pads underneath all four paws he is going down hill very fast, i have taken him to the vets he has had shampoos, steroids anti biotic and nothing is working he has bakers dog food. do you have any ideas what could help him please.

ANSWER: Rachel - I can make some suggestions for you - sounds like systemic yeast???  What country are you in?

Ok - Let's see if you can find some Acidophilus - 1 billion CFUs - you should be able to find this at most health food stores.
Give you baby 2-3 per day of the 1 billion CFUs-  If it is an overgrowth of yeast the product will work within 4-5 days.  Later on, you can drop him down to just 1 per day for a lifetime.
This is very safe to give him.

Next, see if you can get some EMT gel for his paws - I am sure you can get this in England - this is a link so you know what I am talking about / It is like an invisible bandage made of collagen- it protects and heals the area.
