My 10 year old Lab/mix gets very anxious when there is a storm or the wind is blowing hard. She has recently started scratching on the door to our upstairs when this happens at night.She is destroying our door and wall!!When it happens during the daytime, she paces , shakes and tries to find a place to hide. Can you recommend a remedy? Thanks!!

Melatonin/ It is a natural supplement you can find in the vitamin section of the drugstore. Get the 3 mg. tablets. Give one pill 30-60 minutes before a storm.
( sometimes you can see a storm brewing up)  If you see the winds and rains - it wouldn't hurt to give some Melatonin.
