Question
Just within the last two months by 3 year old boston terrier had her nares widened and a tibial ligation on her back leg. Since she is able to breathe out of her nose now she has a reverse sneeze. Sometimes they last up to 2 minutes. She also eats grass daily and I don't know why. Is there any natural or herbal medicine I can give her to reduce or eliminate her allergies? Thank you. Laura

Answer
Hi Laura:  The reverse sneeze is common among this breed... Just put your fingers over her nose, when she is sneezing... This will force her to breath out of her mouth.. It should stop this sneezing reaction.  Only do this for 15 seconds at a time.  You don't want to upset her too much.. This doesn't work for all dogs but it can work for many... I have used this a number of times, on guests at my Doggie Hotel.

Don't worry about the grass eating.  Many dogs do this, very common.
Just say "no grass" in a deep voice.
