Subject: Fungus Infection in Dod

Question
Hi ,I have a 4 year old Black Labra Dog ,he is having a white dandruff kind of a thing in all his skin ,At some places it leads to hair loss and gives a bad smell,We are giving him Sulfur everyday and as a Home remedy we are applying apple cider vinegar on his skin but doesn't find much difference .Everyday we comb his hair and take out the white dandruff. His Vet informed that this is a fungus infection ,Treatment which he is going through didn't bring much difference ,Would appreciate if you could  please advise the cause of this infection and remedies.

Answer
Hi Ginny
I'm not sure what could be causing it and the vet does not seem to have given you much info to go by.
I would suggest getting him onto Tissue Salts for the skin (Silica).  Administer the children's dosage as recommended on the bottle.  Tissue Salts are available in all health food stores and most pharmacies and are generally quite inexpensive.
If you have access to Australian Bush Flowers (either through a store, or online) I would order the Green Essence as this will help to rid the energies of any parasites, fungi etc.. causing skin problems.  You can add the drops a couple of times per day directly into his mouth, or place one drop directly onto various parts of the body where he is being affected.  Do not give orally and topically at the same time.
Another great herbal remedy is the Herbal Skin Allergy/Irritation blend available from www.herbal-treatments.com

I would be adding Omega blend (flax seed oil) to his daily meals.  Add fresh ingredients to his diet - raw meats, raw grated veggies, sardines are all great for a good healthy skin.
Otherwise you can find many natural supplements on the web that are specifically designed to treat the skin.
Make sure he has fresh clean water every day.
I hope this is helpful.
Take care,
Silva.
