Alternative Medicine for Pets/heart worm alternative

Question
We own a 4 1/2 yr old lab/dalmation mix. He is a neutered
male and very sweet - he weighs 98 lbs. Can you recommend a
heart worm medicine alternative that is less, well less of
a toxin than the normal stuff?

Thanks for asking this question.  The less chemicals we put in our pets, the longer, happier and healthier their lives will be.  Here are two sites for heart worm medication, one is herbal, one is a mix of herbal and homeopathic.  It really depends on your preference:

Holistic Animal Medicines also have an intestinal wormer (separate to heart worm) which is herbal.

For general flea, worm and bacteria control you can purchase tablets on the internet known as Herbal Compound Tablets.  These keep parasites away from the body.

Another great product for fleas is called Fle-eze and is simply added to daily meals.
