Question
My cat cannot be spayed as she has a hole in her heart and would not survive the operation, she would not survive a litter of kittens either, she has gone on heat is there anything I can do to comfort her as she is pretty pathetic with her rolling around and yowling

You could try her on a homeopathic formula called Pet Calm:

This will calm her mind and her mood and take away the anxiety she is feeling.
You could also try to repair some of the heart damage with herbs.
At www.herbal-treatments.com there is a Heart Tonic in the Herbs for Cats section.
It may be possible that you can strengthen the heart so she can indeed undergo surgery to be spayed.
Other than that I am not sure what else to suggest.
