Question
I have a 15 month female English Bulldog.  I was feeding her Purina one and I recently switched to Iams.  My dog has a foul odor at all times.  I keep her face and ears clean.  I took her to the groomers for the first time last week thinking maybe I was not bathing her good enough however, 2 hours after being home the entire house began to smell.  It is awful and I feel terrible because she would probably get a lot more attention from us and the kids if she did not smell so bad.  I don't know what else to do.  I don't know what is causing this terrible odor.

Answer
Hi Kim - this is a common bulldog problem - odor.  I believe your girl is suffering from an over-growth of yeast bacteria.  Excessive yeast problems are often caused by allergies.
