Alternative Medicine for Pets/adverse reaction to rabies vaccine

Question
How do you treat a rabies injection site that has loss of hair. One of my dogs has already had the same reaction and it turned into a big abscess and burst.  I want to avoid this if possible. Vet is now treating with an antibiotic cream. It's not getting any better.

Oh boy, this can happen!  Please talk to the vet about an antibiotic pill.  The cream may not be enough for the area.
So sorry that this happened.  This can happen but is rare.
