Alternative Medicine for Pets/Tumor behind dogs eye

Question
My 13 year old Boston Terrier has had a pain in what we thought was her mouth. A few days after an unnecessary oral surgery--the problem wasn't her teeth-- she has started to believe from the nose. A MRI was performed an a tumor (NOT a Mast Cell tumor) is behind her eye. She winces and cries out in pain, her eye is swollen and red and she continues to bleed from the nose. We are considering putting her down as we can not afford radiation therapy and we believe at her age it will be too much for her to endure. The vet had her on Tramadol for pain and Rimadyl as an anti-inflammatory. She is being taken off the Rimadyl because the bleeding has increased since she started it. She started Prednisone less than 48 hours ago and we already see an improvement.  Her eye is not swollen, the bleeding from her nose has stopped.  We know we won't cure her with this route, but if we can make her comfortable and improve her health we will do what we can. What alternative medicine approaches are there for this type of tumor?  Are their herbs or other traditional medicines we should consider?

Answer
Hi Victoria
I would suggest having a look at www.naturalrearing.com - go to the "products" tab, then go to the "Specialities Remedies" page.  There you will find products such as DMG:(Da Vinci), PYCNOGENOL(Da Vinci) - both of these products increase energy after debilitating illness and have been of assistance for cancer.
Also look at: CELLULAR FORTE IP6, and FLOR-ESSENCE - both of which are very effective cancer remedies.

Another website you may want to look at is:  www.herbal-treatments.com - which has many cancer remedies available for our pets as well.

You want to look at keeping her immune system in top order, keep the inflammation down, and work at reducing the size of the cancer, and keeping pain away.  With a combination of the above products you should be able to achieve this.  Do not hesitate to contact the companies via email as well to discuss the best course of action.

I wish you and your dog all the best.
I hope this has helped.
With thanks,
Silva.
