AnswerHello Alinahurd - yes, I have a number of recipes you can try- Don't forget doggie supplements and vitamins if you cook home-made:
1. Dog Meatballs - can be used for both dogs as a snack or as a meal - YOU can use this as the Am meal or the PM meal..
DOG MEATBALLS-
Dog Dog Food Recipe by Michele, provided to her by her vet.
Ground chicken
Ground beef
4% small curd cottage cheese
2 cups quaker oats soaked in low sodium chicken broth
peas
string beans
2 tablespoons salmon or fish oil (health food store or break open capsules from grocery store)
2 eggs
2 boiled yams or sweet potatoes -this is great protein and helps keep everything moist.
Mix together and make into meatballs the size of your dogs portion. Bake them at 350 until they are completely done.
Freeze into bags and warm up in microwave until warm and serve. They should love it and it is all digested so there is very little waste and smell.
Add 1 NuVET Plus Wafer vitamin for each dog each day-

Buckaroo's Favorite Breakfast Meet The Buckaroo
( they can both have this one ,,,,,too)
1 pound hamburger
1 clove pressed or finely-chopped garlic ( YOU don't need garlic if you take a NuVET supplement each day)
1 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup fresh Romaine lettuce leaves (eyeball it)
Slowly cook the hamburger in a large skillet with the garlic. Drain
off half the fat into a freezer container to save for dog cookies.
Add oatmeal and water and stir while bringing to a boil Turn down the
heat, cover and simmer for 1 minute.
In a blender or food processor, puree the lettuce or chop finely (may
also be juiced). Let hamburger mixture cool before adding lettuce.
Serve a mixture of all ingredients at 1/2 cup for every 10 pounds of
dog's body weight.
The hamburger/oatmeal mixture may be stored in freezer or
refrigerator in individual portions. Keep the lettuce stored
separately in refrigerator to serve fresh with every meal as a salad.

Allow cats to eat as much as they want for a month until they have detoxified and you will get an idea of how much to feed them.
When eating a strict diet of commercial food, cats do not feel satiated but, when they eat real food, they will tell you how much they need.
