Alternative Medicine for Pets/Torn ACL in rt knee of 100 lb Lab

Other than surgery, what is my options? My lab injured his knee retrieving a tennis ball. After 10 days of 325 mg aspirin QD,in conjunction with short titrating doses of my personal steroids 20 mg, 15 mg, 10 mg, 10 mg, and 5 mg, then aspirin only; He' still only toe touching

Hi - did you try some Omega 3 and NuJoint plus -
Also, talk to your vet about the usage of baby aspirin or a coated 325 mg aspirin.
Many vets do offer dosages of Aspirin as options for the reduction of swelling.

Hi Gilbert, sorry your Lab is having a hard time!
You can try some supplements for alternatives to surgery.
We have had great luck with the following:

NuJoint, NuVet, and Omega 3

BEST wishes --- I would continue with the aspirin but would re-think the steroids.... tough on the body.
