Question
I have 6 cats, they all throw up from time to time, but Princeton throws up the most. He is 4 yrs old. Solid white dsh. He is allergic when i use flea collar or drop flea med. his hair will fall out in that spot. He throws up his food in tubular undigested form every other day or so. Sometimes it has hair in it and other times not. One eye is constantly inflamed. I have taken him to vet 3 times with his eye and received salve that doesn't seem to work. Is he just allergic to everything? He stays inside. Please help me help him.

Hi Sandy - I would put Mr. Princeton on a home made cat food and a few supplements.
Here are my suggestions for your Allergy cat kid.

Feline Feeding Formula: CAT food recipe:

Meat 98%

       ground raw turkey

       ground raw chicken

       raw or cooked seafood (taurine does not cook out of seafood)

      * tuna in water  (occasionally, not daily)

Grain 1%:

       Oatmeal, oatbran, rice, barley (grind into flour in blender or food processor)

only feed grain occasionally  *( OR not at all)

Vegetables 1%:

       puréed, juiced, raw or steamed -- this should ideally be a salad.

Bone meal: Mix 1/4 teaspoon into raw meat every few days

AMOUNTS:
Allow cats to eat as much as they want for a month until they have detoxified and you will get an idea of how much to feed them. When eating a strict diet of commercial food, cats do not feel satiated but, when they eat real food, they will tell you how much they need.
