Question
My 5 year old pit bull is having tremors.  They started on Friday and he has them at night time only.  He is not fixed.  I have not changed anything in his diet.  He seems to stop the tremors which start in his head and then go to the body when you touch him or when he takes a breath.  He is usually wide awake and has shown no other signs of illness.  Could he have gotten into something outside like a mushroom?  We have had a ton of rain.  His stools are solid but he is just not himself very lethargic at times.

Answer

Hi Robin, I would take this boy to the vet for some blood work.
It could be his thyroid and he will need some meds.
Also, are you using the Monthly Spot treatment for fleas and tics?
If you are, stop using the product right away - It may have effected his systems.  ( example - Frontline products)
