Question
Hi! Rocky is a Peek a Poo, 14 years old and approximately 25 lbs.  He had a Mast Cell Tumor, Stage 3, removed on his ankle area which had grown very fast and was very large and due to the placement of the tumor on his ankle, the vet was not able to get all of the tumor.  After two months, the lump has returned (small) and due to Rocky's age, we do not want to go forward with chemo or radiation.  The vet recommended Vetalog 2 mg/ml which was injected yesterday into the tumor.  He has decreased hearing and vision due to his age. He does not appear to be in any pain.  He is walking fine.  Is there any natural supplements that would help?  Any recommendations, comments or concerns regarding the Vetalog?  So far, he has had none of the more common reactions to the Vetalog.
Thank you for your time!
Marianne

Answer

Cancer pets take NuVet
Hi Marianne and Rocky the peek a poo!
I would love to help you ...Yes, keep using the vetalog as it can't hurt your boy at this age and stage of the game.
If he was a younger boy, we would go a different route with this treatment.

Yes - I am sending you the Canine Cancer diet - ( if you don't mind cooking for your boy : very easy:
Also, Here is a link to the NuVET All natural supplement - Many, many cancer dogs and cats take 1 nuvet wafer per day.
( your boy can have the wafer or powder - depends on him - MOST dogs will eat the Wafer treat of the nuvet plus>>>>>

here is the link with the food ( cancer recipe and the NuVet info)
BEST wishes to you....
