Question
QUESTION: Hi, My dog won' stop licking the pads of her feet, front and back. She is getting to the point where her feet are bleeding in between the pads. We asked a vet and they told us to dip her feet in Hydrogen Peroxide. We've tried that along with washing her feet in case she had something irritating on them. Those don't seem to be working. Any suggestions?

ANSWER: Hi Kaitie, Please do Not dip her paws in the hydrogen peroxide ....
Oh No... I know the vet told you to do this but it will not help the situation at all.
Did this just start up ?  Could it be Environmental???
Also, what food are you feeding your gal?
Food brand and treats?

Get back to me as I do think that I can help.
Sounds like allergies.

QUESTION: Does The Hydrogen Peroxide make dogs sick?

She started licking her feet a few weeks ago. She's always had trouble with her legs and being achy but she was never licking them like she is now. Nothing has changed in our yard or in our house that i can think of and she has been eating the same kind of dog food and treats for the past eight years or so. Like i said we thought maybe she had something in between her pads or stepped in something that made her feet itchy but now that it's been going on for a while.... We just don't know what to do.

Answer
Well, you may need to bring her Into the vet for a check up?
Sounds like it is allergies.  EVEN if she has been on the same food for years, they can become allergiec to some of the ingredients.

I would try her on the NuVET program for Allergies -  this should  help ..... just 1 wafer of NuVET Plus per day -  for Seasonal Evnironmental allergies or Food allergies..
This is Holistic and not sold in any stores:
Call 1-800-474-7044  ( cost is about .60 cents per day for the average sized dog)
http://www.nuvet.com/81098
Tell them referral : Marie Peppers from AllExperts.com and referral code 81098  ( Marie from Alternatives for pets)
NuVET can be given with Any Drugs your vet orders.... because NuVET is safe and All natural it won't hurt your pet's liver at all.

**Drugs, the vet gives, can be toxic to the liver - a blood test is done to watch your pet's liver --- when being given Harsh drugs.

Next, if you would like we can slowly change her over to GRAIN -FREE foods -  Let me know what she is eating?
I can suggest some grain free foods to look for at the local pet store or groomers shop.  ( many groomers do carry food)
