Alternative Medicine for Pets/Cat With Otitis Externa Due to Food Allergen

Question
My cat has been diagnosed with bacteria infection and or inclusive of otitis. She has had otitis on and off for years, which I've always treated with enzyme ear cleansers. Recently she developed symptoms that were alarming including lethargy and obvious pain in the head and ear region.

The vet examined her ears and took samples under the microscope telling me that there was fungus and bacteria - and promptly gave us antibiotics. He also gave me a bag of Royal Canine hypallergic dry food telling me that from now on she needs to be eating that and nothing else if she were to heal.

Aside from raw food, she occasionally gets cooked - mostly meat and fish. The whole issue started when I stupidly gave her some powdered baby formula which she really liked. It was dairy based. From that moment it was downhill. Now this little piece of info - I forgot to tell the vet - and essentially I am really against all the dry kibbles.  And frankly she really doesn't like the taste of it. So how do I proceed from here? Her blood and urine analyses were all good. Is there anything I can do to detox her?

Thanks so much.

*******
NuVET supplement has Taurine added to it:*****
Cats must have TAURINE, which is an amino acid found only in fresh animal and seafood tissue.  It does not cook out of seafood so you can occasionally give cats canned tuna packed in water or other seafood delicacies.  A deficiency of taurine causes blindness and cardiac problems.  Artificial taurine is added to commercial food and is not acceptable.
