Question
My 12 year old bichon was just diagnosd with eatly stage diney disease. In addition she has has bladder stones which is now controlled with daily antibioltic and wellnes senior canned food eith a 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda with each meal.

My vet wants her now to be on a kidney diet which scares me since they are loaded with lots of other things. I am thinkng of cookig for her but see so many different diets on the web. Some say brwon rice some say white some say chicken some say beef.Should th ebeef be low-fat or regular. also I was told I could add string beans and or carrotts. Is this true?

Any help you could give would be great as I am so concerned that with all her issues a canned presciption diet willnot help.
Thank you Lisa
ps. My dog is 15 pounds
