Question
I have a English Bulldog that i rescued from the pound. He has hair loss with black crusty skin and, it has a really bad odor. all i know about the dog was he was abandoned. i dont have much money for vet. Can you tell me what it is and what can i do to get rid of it.

Answer
Hi Samantha, Well your rescue could have mange.  It is something the vet will need to take care of and give you medications.
For now, you can try a nice oatmeal bath to sooth the skin.
(Dog oatmeal shampoo only)
Give your boy some Activia Yogurt (1) 6 ounce cup per day for 3 weeks.
This Activia will help the Smell and the ? Yeast bacteria on the skin/coat.
( this is a probiotic)

Other than that, you need to see the vet.  Save up some money - most viist are 70.00 to walk in and have the vet take a look.

Good Luck
