Hi, I have a 7 month shar pei who has yeast in her ears. She eats Purina dog chow, but am thinking about changing her to something better that doesn't have a high grain,corn, or soy count, as i have been told this may help also. I was also told to put in a little vinegar in her water, have You ever heard of this. thanks

Hi Melissa, Good for you !  Yes, the Purina brand is loaded with corn and other junk fillers.
So great that you want to do better for your dog.
The yeast is related to allergies or a weak immune system.
The vinegar is the Apple cider vinegar and not the plain vinegar.  ( 1/2 teaspoon to a bowl of water )  Some dogs won't drink when you add this.  SO watch her because she does need her water.


Let's do this for your gal:  A good brand like : Innova PUPPY: Solid Gold PUPPY; Wellness PUPPY or any of the Merrick puppy.
All found in many local pet stores - call around. ( they are all good brands)
SLOWLY change her over - MIX the Purina with the new food for 2 weeks .....then, go to the new food or she will get diarrhea.

NEXT - Please add 1 cup of Activia to her diet per day/ Activia yogurt has the active cultures to get rid of the yeast / over-growth of yeast.
MUST be the Activia brand /  Do this 6 oz cup for 3 weeks or more:  Van or Plain flavors.
