QUESTION: What is the proper dosage of Natures Sunshine Yeast/Fungal Detox for an 18 lb dog and is it safe to give an herbal wormer at the same time?  thank you!

ANSWER: Hi Wendy - I would give the 1 capusle per day ( I would like you to open the capsule and feed 1/2 in the am and 1/2 in the pm .  Mix into some YUM YUM food ...
**Don't do the wormer at the same time.

QUESTION: Nurse Marie,
Thank you for the speedy reply!  What course of action should I take for internal parasites?  Will the fungal detox and the wafers kill off the harmful parasites within my dogs system?  I should also let you know she is being treated for Cushings Disease with Lysodren every seven days for maintenance.  Thanks again!

ANSWER: Hi again , The fungal detox has ingredients that help to kill off parasites.
The NuVET will help to re-build the immune system to fight off the invaders.
With Cushings Disease you are dealing with the Lysodren that will weaken the immune system.
So yes, I would do the Detox and the NuVET - Let your doctor know if you make any feeding and supplement additons.  Many vets do not know much about supplements and holistic options.

QUESTION: Once again I thank you for your consideration and obvious expertise with alternative therapy.  I am conflicted, though.  I see that one of the main ingredients of the NuVET Wafers and /or powder is Brewers Yeast.  My dog has yeasty paws, ears and vulva.  Is it wise to feed Brewers Yeast to a dog with this condition?
