Question
I have two pygmy goats and I think one of them is sick. He a male and is castrated. he has been very lethargic although does get up sometimes to graze and eat. He has been pooping. I dont think though that he has been peeing. I see him poop but not pee. he will stand there and stand there but  not do anything. It does not look like he is in pain, he hasnt used his voice since this all happend which by the way was about 3 days ago. The other male pygmy goat is more aggressive and mean but that hasnt bothered the other goat in the least. I called the vet and they just said he might have an upset stomach or indigestion and to give it tums and malox. I have been giving him that and it seems like it has been helping. can you help.

Answer
Hi - How about Milk of Magnesia?  Ask your vet about this.  I give my goat almost 30 cc to get his constipation moving... Also, he could have a kideny stone and will need to see the vet for this common problem.  PLEASE don't delay - take your goat into the VET ASAP.

Good luck
