I am in Mexico and the animal care is limited.  Our 6 month old  toy daschund puppy snatched a drumstick (from a roasted chicken) off my daughters plate and swallowed it whole on friday night.  It has been 2 days, she is eating, playing and wanting to go for walks.  She just had a bit of loose stool tonight.  I don't even know how she swallowed it considering it was bigger than her own leg.  Will the bone digest in her stomach and how will it pass through her little intestine? Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Hi Dayna - Dog swollowed a chicken bone:  Ok - give her some Canned pumpkin ( pumpkin in the can with no added sugar) - give her 1/2 a cup.
Or - feed her 2 slices of bread.
The pumpkin or the bread should help to pass the bone without damage to the intestine.
