Question
Hi I have a wheaten terrier cocker spaniel mix that is about ten years old. He has recently started losing a lot of hair and is completely bald around his eyes and on his ears. The back of legs and on his chest are becoming bare as well. I've tried using hot spot spray and benadryl but it doesn't seem to be working. Is there any suggests you can make?

Answer
Hi - Did you have your wheaten terrier checked for mange?  How about thyroid levels?  The vet can do a skin scrape to make sure there are not parasites on the skin...( The human eye can't see many of the parasites they can get)

I would be glad to give you more suggestions.....JUST wanted to know what your vet says.
They can do some blood work to check the thyroid levels.

More info for me????

thanks
