QuestionQUESTION: I have a 14 yr old Siberian husky that has a BAD rash all underneath her belly and under her arm pits.It is very red, but some spots are black..It has a bad smell to it..Can you please tell me what you think it maybe? I also have a picture of it, if you would like to see it..Thanks
ANSWER: Hi Lisa, This rash could be many things. You may want to have a Vet take a look at it.
May be a fungus or Yeast. The Vet can take a skin scrape and look at it under a scope.
You can try some of my suggestions.
Your best bet would be to see the local Vet:
NuVET Tea Tree Hot spot Shampoo/ / Wonderful product - Shampoo every 10-14 days
Also, NuVET has a great hot spot spray for itchy areas...
Very low cost -
All Natural
Last, please start on a good skin and coat vitamin/supplement - the NuVET Plus Wafer - just 1 per day:
order here: HOLISTIC and not in any Pet store:

If there is open area and pus or secretions - please see the Vet ASAP.
Good luck - Sorry that I can't help more.
Please remember that I am not a Vet

QUESTION: I want to just ask one more question please..IS there anyway possible that it could be any thing at all that could be HARMFUL to us humans?? It may be a few before I can get her to the vet, as my husband is in the middle of jobs, and i know the vet WILL WANT MONEY...I know she is all over my carpet and I DO HAVE kids..Thanks so much for all the help you are able to give..
AnswerShe could have a fungus that can spread to others. It's hard to say.
Most of the time this will happen with an " OPEN " area.
If you need to see the Vet there is a credit card for pets:
It's called care credit.
They will give you a limit from 400.00 to 2000.00
I believe they will give you this no matter what credit report level you have.
Here is the link for care credit
