Question
Hi, my lil pomeranian is very predisposed to bladder stones. Is there an herbal remedy you have found, or a specific food to feed that has great results as far as keeping stones away? Please let me know as I am getting rather frustrated. Thank you!

Answer
Dear Latika
I can understand your frustration, and your little Pomeranian is probably even more distressed.  We have a few formulas available that would help;
1.  Herbal Kidney/Bladder Stone Mix - 100mls ($60 AUD)  The drops are administered 2 x p/day and the bottle will last you approx 10 weeks.  In most cases one bottle is enough to nip it in the bud, but in longstanding cases a second dose may be required.
The problem begins with urea. Urea is the waste product generated in the metabolism of protein and it is removed from the body via excretion in the urine. When urine is infected with bacteria that are able to digest urea, urea is broken down into ammonia. Ammonia is toxic to the cells of the bladder wall and its presence generates further inflammation.

The proteins released in the inflammatory reaction form a matrix which the struvite crystals use to form an actual stone.

The reaction takes place only in an alkaline pH environment which is created by the ammonia.

The herbs in my mix to treat the problem include Uva Ursi, Rosehips, Dandelion, Echinacea, Garlic, Pellitory of the Wall and Equisetum along with the Bach Flowers Agrimony, Willow, Mimulus, Rescue Remedy.

2.  We also have a homeopathic blend which costs a little more ($90 AUD) and will probably last you about a year.

3.  Adding some Colloidal Silver to the daily water bowl will also help as this is a powerful antibiotic.

Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
Silva.
