why is it that the very cool instrumental version of lunatic calms' leave you far behind from the movie the matrix fight scene between morpheus and neo is not anywhere on the net to be found or for that matter doesnt seem to have a name? only for the movie as a one time thing? its for sure not on the soundtrack as an alt version of the song...

This kind of thing varies from song to song, but it happens a lot. Songs get modified for screen, and often times they aren't released after that. The reasons for it vary from legal issues, to production costs, to simply not bothering to deal with it. I can't be sure as to the particular reasons in this case, but generally, if they can't sell it, or don't think they will sell it, they don't produce and release it. It served it's purpose so they drop it. It's frustrating for a viewer that is interested in getting the song, but the companies behind it tend not to care unless they can profit from it.
