QuestionHi. I have been trying to find the lyrics, song name, and performing group since about 1996. I don't have much information but what I have I'll give you. Hear are the lyrics that I can remember- "I'm feeling good,I'm feeling good,I'm feeling good right now" repeat again except where the words "right now" are it was something different. Those are the core lyrics of the song. Others are-"xxxx I'll take a shower, I'll be gone in an hour, xxxx(i can't remember then)or maybe I'll just stay home" Then "I'm feeling good" is repeated again. other words I remember may say "I'll get in the car and drive 101" or something like that. I'm sorry thats the best I can do. It was a female singer, rock or alternative rock,an up tempo song with cool guitar work throughout the song. The song has a somewhat lenghthy finish with the repeating of "I'm feeling good,I'm feeling good,I'm feeling good..." with those cool wiry guitars finishing out the last 10-15 seconds with no singing. Another Question, Why do radio dj's announce the song and artist of the pop 40 list and tell you nothing about a lesser known artist?
AnswerWell I don't know the song first hand so I looked around, I found 2 songs by band headed up by female vocalists that repeat those words, one band being 'The Velvet Underground' with a song called I'm Waiting for the Man, and the other is 'Four Non Blondes' thier song was called Old Mr.Heffer. Neither of them were consistant with the rest of the lyrics but it's the best I could find.
As for radio DJ's habits, I could only guess ignorance. Radio DJ's are usually pretty irritating people, I guess they probably say the popular ones out loud so people can think 'hey, this station plays hip music, cool' whereas if you heard an obscure band people would feel alienated maybe? I'm not really sure. College radio is pretty good for hearing unknown bands, and getting thier names.
Sorry I couldn't be more help. If you think of anything else in the song let me know and I'll look into it a little deeper.
